About the Event
In this class, I'll teach the functionalities of the Digital Audio Workstation Logic Pro, and help students learn to bring their musical vision to fruition using technology. Includes lessons in recording audio into the program, programming MIDI notes, using tempo and time signatures, as well as some basic production techniques like volume, EQ, take splicing, and autotune.
Activity Leader bio: Hey, I'm Caleb, from New York, USA. I'd consider myself a prolific creative - almost constantly, I'm working on some new idea, be it musical, literary, or whatever else comes to my mind. Over the time I've been making music, I've taught myself composition, recording and how to use my software to its fullest extent. I hope I can help share what I've learned with others, and help people enjoy the same creative freedom Logic gives me.
Materials Needed: A copy of Logic Pro, and preferably some sort of MIDI interface such as a MIDI keyboard. The MIDI interface isn't a requisite, but it may be needed, depending on what kind of music the student wants to make.
