Course Dates: Every week on Saturday from 11:15am-11:55am PST and Sunday from 11:00am-11:30am PST during the month of September, starting September 5th.
Course Description: We will be stretching, learning different yoga poses, and meditating. This involved deep breathing in and out as well as deep belly breathing; focusing on the breath. We will tend to all the different body parts and after having taken this class, participants will know how to take care of their body and develop a new way of dealing with stress/aches. This class will be very relaxing and will help to loosen us those muscles and joints that we tend to neglect taking care of. Doing the various poses can also help to strengthen oneself from holding the position. Yoga can also help to alleviate stress, improve blood circulation, strengthen oneself, help with pains/strains in the body, improve digestive power, posture/make you taller, lengthen out, balance and more. This is a great act of self care and a way to thank your body for doing so much for you.
Activity Leader bio: My name is Nicole and I am from California. I am a rising sophomore in high school (10th grade). I am a very artistic person and like to express my creativity in my bullet journal, drawing, and making cards for people. I am also a dancer and former cheerleader and do many different genres of dance such as ballet, contemporary, hip hop, acro/tumbling and more. I love being involved and helping the community. I am also into public speaking and have been in my schools speech/debate club this past year. Some of my other hobbies include journaling, stretching/yoga, staying active and being involved in school.
